Updates for November 22nd

Announcements

The Ward Christmas Party will be December the 15th @ 6:30pm. (the time in the bulletin is wrong)

Please be sure to invite your neighbors for a great night with food and fun!

If you would like to help with food please contact Tami Weller.

Please watch the foyer for this years giving tree. Our ward will be providing Christmas for 2 families as well as filling gift card wishes for 20 Foster Children. Please take an ornament with a wish or several from the tree. All gifts must be wrapped and include on the outside of the package, secured tightly, the ornament with the wish request. You must bring these to the church no later than December 12th. If you have any questions please contact Lenora Bachman.

September 13th Updates

9/14 Relief Society Activity at Lisa McCleary's @ 7pm

"Use it up, wear it out or do without!" We will be learning so many great things about how to use what we have. We also will be making cute cake pedestals with just a $2 donation.


9/17 Father and Daughter overnighter at Camp Atoka. There will be trailer and tent camp spots. Be sure to bring a hobo dinner. Contact BJ Hooge with any questions.


9/28 General RS Broadcast. Join the sisters at the Stake Center at 5pm for a wonderful dinner and then stay and watch the broadcast.


We still need help filling DI helper spots on the 16th and 30th of this month. You can work either 9-noon or noon to 5pm. Please, please help! If you would be willing contact Jon Werner.

There will be a Community Mock Disaster Day this Saturday. A block captain for your neighborhood will be coming by sometime on Saturday morning with some details of what is to happen if there was a disaster in the valley.

Congratulations to Reilee O'Brien who was married last week!

Jan Haliburton had surgery last week and it went well and she is recovering. Thanks to all who helped with meals.

Joe Dillman is now in Aspen Care Center between Madison and 24th Street and would appreciate visitors.

The Lackey's (who live by the Porter's) 4 year old daughter was attacked by a dog over the weekend and was badly injured on her face. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

Updates for June 7th!

The community gardening series will continue on the 8th & 22nd at 7pm. You can choose to visit either the Packs, Allens or Werners and learn gardening tips and helpful information whether you are planting a large garden or just a few plants.

Water aerobics will continue Monday, Wednesday & Friday mornings at 7:30am at Pauli Wheelers pool.

Our Leisure Ladies exercise group will meet every Tuesday at Snowcrest at 7pm. This week you are welcome to bring a bike.

Ward Temple night will be June 18th at 5:45 pm.

Please be sure to pick up the new VT message on the table in the Relief Society room.

July 15th at 7pm will be a special "Beyond 72 hour kits". This will be a great training from a speaker from Syracuse who is high in demand so we feel so lucky to get her up here to speak to us.

Stake Lagoon day is this Friday. If you want tickets be sure to see someone in the bishopric.

Thanks to all the sisters who have helped out lately with meals and childcare for our ward family. It has been so greatly appreciated!

Updates for May26th!

Water Aerobics will continue Tuesday & Friday mornings at Pauli Wheelers home at 8:30 am.

We will start a new exercise class on June 3rd. It will be every Thursday at Snowcrest at 7pm. Everyother week will be a walk and talk around the track. You are welcome to bring your kids and strollers. The 3rd will be our Walk & talk and then everyother Thursday will be some sort of organized sport. Watch for details. Thanks to Alisa Mortensen and Kathy O'brien for organizing this fun summer activity.

The Next lunch bunch will be June 3rd at noon at Carlos & Harleys

Thanks to everyone who helped out with food and decorations for Leona Failes luncheon. It turned out so beautiful for her family.

Justin and Tesha Pack had their twins last Thursday night. They are both boys and they were 2lbs 2 ounces and 4 pounds 14 ounces. They are in the NICU at McKay Dee and will be there for quite sometime. Keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

Kim Kelson gave birth to baby Jada on Saturday and is home and doing well.

Congrats to Reiley O'brien who got engaged last week and will be getting married in August!

Eden Community Gardens

Eden Gardeners are inviting us into their gardens to learn about preparing, planing and hopefully harvesting from your own garden! Please choose to visit only 1 garden per night! Choose from the Spencers, the Packs, the Werners or the Allens.

Father & Sons overnighter this Friday night the 7th at Middle Fork. Dinner will be at 7pm and breakfast the next morning will be at 7am.

Lunch bunch this Thursday the 6th at noon at Eats of Eden

Water Exercise will continue at Pauli Wheelers every Tuesday and Friday through May at 9am

Ward Dinner & Eagle Court of honor will be Wednesday, April 28th at 6pm at the Eden Park. Dinner and dessert will be provided. Bring a potluck salad to share. It will be held even in the event of inclement weather since there is indoor facilities for us.

There is a great Food Storage Fair May 1st at Weber State University for $5. Check the binders for details.

There will be a ward priesthood overnighter that has been changed to Friday, May 7th. Details to follow.

May 4th& May 18th @ 7pm will be the start of our ward gardening project. We will be able to visit one of 4 gardens in the ward and learn how to prepare, plant and harvest. Watch for more details!

The Gardens are Kent Allens, Jon Werner, Ann Spencer & Cord Pack.

March 16th Updates!

Ward Temple Night is this Friday March 19th at 6pm, meet in the chapel at 5:45.

The next lunch bunch will be April 1st at noon at Mad Moose Cafe next to Diamond Peak Ski Shop.

The RS Birthday dinner will be this Thursday at 6:30pm in the Relief Society room. We will be having a wonderful catered dinner and great program on Emma Smith.

There will be a pretzel dipping and edible bouquets class on April 13th at Sue Fullers at 7pm.

If you are working on the humanitarian dolls please finish them up by the end of the month.

Jim Lewis is collecting white shirts that any young men have outgrown. He is collecting them to send to Guam.

March 8th updates!

Thanks so much to Melanie Shaw for all or her hard work planning RS activities. We will miss you and your cute family Mel! We are excited to have Sue Fuller taking on the task of planning all of our upcoming activites.

Empty Nesters FHE will be on March 8th at the Bachman's home.

The Relief Society Birthday party will be on March 18th at 6:30 pm. We will be having a delicious catered meal and a special tribute to Emma Smith. You need to RSVP by this Sunday if you plan to attend. This will be such a special night we hope you will be able to make it.

Water Aerobics is continuing at Pauli Wheelers and will be at 9am on Tuesdays and Fridays. Its been so fun we hope more of you will come join the fun.

Warm welcome to Alisa Mortensen who will be helping with the music in RS on Sundays.

The next ward temple night will be March 19th @ 5:45 pm.

If you have not signed up for a visiting teaching conference appointment please call Jori 745.8452 and sign up. It will be Saturday the 30th from 9am to noon and will only be for 15 minutes each plus we will be feeding you some great breakfast items!

Ted Hillstead as of Sunday was still in intensive care but stable after recovering from open heart surgery.
